Sakura: A Wheel Shaped Like a Cherry Blossom
Five petals, five spokes
Sakura is the Japanese word for cherry blossom. In Japan, the blossoms mark the start of spring. They open all at once, cover whole streets in pink, and then they are gone. People plan entire days around seeing them.
A cherry blossom has five petals. The Sakura wheel has five spokes. That is the whole idea, and it works. Look at the face straight on and you see the flower.
A concave five-spoke
Five-spoke wheels are a classic for a reason. They are clean, easy to read and they show off your brakes. Sakura keeps all of that and adds the blossom shape. The spokes are concave, so the face dishes in toward the center and the wheel has real depth.
The result is a wheel that looks at home on a sport compact and has a story behind it. When someone asks what wheels those are, you get to tell them.
Sizes
Sakura MonoC comes in 18 inch, in three fitments:
- 18x8.5 +35
- 18x9.5 +22
- 18x9.5 +38
The two 9.5-inch options sit very differently. Same diameter, same width, but the +22 sits 16 mm further out than the +38. That is a real difference at the fender. If you are not sure which one your car wants, send us your setup before you order.
Bolt patterns
Stock Sakuras come in 5x100 and 5x114.3. Heritage also drills Sakura to 5x105, 5x108, 5x110, 5x112, 5x115 and 5x120 for $30 per wheel. Custom-drilled wheels are ready in 7 to 10 business days.
Sakura is designed for sport compact and performance cars. The product page calls out cars like the Honda Civic, Subaru BRZ, Toyota 86 and Nissan 350Z. Always confirm your exact bolt pattern, center bore and clearance before you order. We are happy to check it for you.
Finishes
- Sakura Pink. The finish that shares the wheel's name. If you want the full cherry blossom effect, this is it.
- Classic Silver. Clean and timeless. It lets the shape do the talking.
- Black. Available on the 18x8.5. The stealth version.
- Custom powder coat. Thousands of colors, for $125 more per wheel. Custom finishes take several weeks.
Picking a color for your car
Pink wheels are not subtle, and that is the point. Sakura Pink pops hardest on white, black, grey and silver cars. On a bold paint color, silver or black keeps the car from fighting itself. Want something in between? Custom powder coat opens up everything else.
Kokoro, the Heritage heart-spoke wheel, also comes in Sakura Pink. If you love the pink but want a different shape, pull up Kokoro MonoC and look at the two side by side. Kokoro is the heart. Sakura is the flower. Pick the one that fits your car.
How Sakura is built
Sakura is part of the MonoC line. It is gravity-cast from A356 aluminum as a one-piece monoblock. It is JWL/VIA certified and backed by a 1-year structural warranty.
The center bore is 73.1 mm. Most cars have a smaller hub, so plan on hub-centric rings. They center the wheel on the hub instead of leaving that job to the lug nuts.
Sakura MonoC starts at $309 per wheel. Stock sizes are in stock, and most orders ship the next business day.
Finishing touches
- Custom-color MonoC center caps to match your finish, or to set it off.
Sakura Forged
Want Sakura in a size or width the cast wheel doesn't come in? Sakura is also part of Heritage Forged. It is fully forged 6061-T6 aluminum, FEA tested, and built to order in diameters from 15 to 24 inches. Choose multi-piece, one-piece or beadlock. Pick your profile, from convex to deep concave. Sets start at $4,199 for four and take 8 to 12 weeks.
