Custom Bolt Patterns: How Heritage Fits More Cars
What a bolt pattern is
A bolt pattern is two numbers. The first is how many lugs your hub has. The second is the diameter, in millimeters, of the circle that runs through the center of those lugs.
So 5x114.3 means five lugs on a 114.3 mm circle. 4x100 means four lugs on a 100 mm circle. You will also see it called PCD, short for pitch circle diameter.
The pattern on the wheel has to match the pattern on the car exactly. Close is not good enough. A wheel that is off by a couple of millimeters will not seat right, and that is never something to force.
Heritage stock patterns
- 5x100 and 5x114.3 on most MonoC models, including Kokoro, Sakura, Ebisu, Bushido, Hokkaido-DIR and Imola.
- 4x100 on the Kokoro MonoC 4-Lug.
- 5x127 and 6x139.7 on Kokoro-OR, for Jeeps and trucks.
Those patterns are in stock and ready to go. Most orders ship the next business day.
Custom drilling
If your car runs a different 5-lug pattern, Heritage can drill MonoC wheels to fit. Custom patterns include:
- 5x98
- 5x105
- 5x108
- 5x110
- 5x112
- 5x115
- 5x120
Custom drilling adds $30 per wheel. Not every pattern is offered on every model, so check the bolt pattern menu on the product page. If you don't see yours, ask.
On the truck side, Kokoro-OR can be drilled 6x135 for Ford, also for $30 per wheel.
How long it takes
Custom-drilled wheels are ready in 7 to 10 business days, and then they ship. If you are also ordering a custom powder coat, add several weeks for the finish.
Plan around it. If you have a show, a meet or a track day on the calendar, order early and leave yourself room.
Custom means final
A custom-drilled wheel is made for your car. Under our Refund Policy, non-stock and modified items can't be returned. That is why it pays to confirm your pattern before you order. We would rather answer ten questions up front than have you holding a set that doesn't bolt on.
What to tell us
Email info@heritagewheel.com with:
- Year, make, model and trim.
- Your bolt pattern, if you know it.
- Your hub size, if you know it.
- The wheel, size and offset you want.
- The finish you want.
- Whether the car is stock or lowered, and any brake or suspension upgrades.
- Whether your car uses lug nuts on studs or lug bolts.
- The tire size you plan to run.
With that, we can confirm the pattern and point out fitment problems before anything gets drilled.
Drilling doesn't change the center bore
Custom drilling changes the lug holes. It does not change the center bore, the big hole in the middle that fits over your hub.
MonoC wheels have a 73.1 mm center bore. If your hub is smaller, and on most cars it is, you need hub-centric rings to center the wheel on the hub. If your hub is bigger than 73.1 mm, the wheel won't go on. Tell us your car and we will check it.
Lug hardware
New wheels often need different lug hardware than your factory wheels. Check the seat type and thread size before you mount anything.
Torque your lugs with a torque wrench to your car's factory spec, in a star pattern. Skip the impact gun.
