MonoC vs Forged: Which Heritage Wheel Fits Your Build
The short answer
Want wheels on the car soon, in a proven size, at a per-wheel price? Get MonoC. Want every number built around your car, a multi-piece or beadlock build, and a finish nobody else is running? Get Forged.
Both lines carry the same Japanese-inspired designs. The difference is how they are made, how long they take and how far you can customize them. Here is the breakdown.
MonoC: cast, in stock, ready to ship
MonoC is the Heritage cast line. Every MonoC wheel is gravity-cast from A356 aluminum as a one-piece monoblock. It is JWL/VIA certified and carries a 1-year structural warranty.
The MonoC lineup:
- Kokoro: the heart-spoke, and the Heritage best seller. 15 to 20 inch, in 4x100, 5x100 and 5x114.3. From $219 per wheel.
- Sakura: a concave five-spoke shaped like a cherry blossom. 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. From $309.
- Ebisu: a split five-spoke and a favorite since 2017. 18, 19 and 20 inch. From $309.
- Bushido: a three-spoke that nods to the classic 3-spoke designs of the 90s and 2000s. 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. From $309.
- Hokkaido-DIR: a directional-style 10-spoke with recessed lug nuts. 18 and 19 inch. From $309.
- Imola: a dished five-spoke in 18x9.5. From $304.75.
- Kokoro-OR: the heart spoke for Jeeps and trucks. 17x9 and 20x9. From $299.
MonoC sizes and offsets are set, but you still get options. Heritage custom drills extra 5-lug patterns, from 5x98 to 5x120, for $30 per wheel. Those wheels are ready in 7 to 10 business days. Custom powder coat comes in thousands of colors and takes several weeks. Chrome is available on some models.
Stock MonoC wheels are in stock, and most orders ship the next business day.
One thing to know: MonoC wheels have a 73.1 mm center bore, so most cars need hub-centric rings.

Which one fits your build
Pick MonoC if:
- You want wheels on the car soon.
- One of the stock sizes and offsets fits your car.
- You want a Heritage design at a per-wheel price.
- You are building a daily or a street car and want it looking right now, not next season.
Pick Forged if:
- You need a width, offset or diameter the cast line doesn't offer.
- You want a multi-piece wheel with a polished lip, or a deep concave face.
- You are building for the drag strip and want a beadlock.
- You want a finish combination nobody else is running.
- You are fine waiting 8 to 12 weeks for a set built around your car.
You don't have to pick forever
A MonoC set can get the car looking right today. If the build grows later, with coilovers, a big brake kit or wider arches, a forged set can pick up where the cast sizes stop. Many of the same designs, built to the new numbers.
